End the day at the moving “Hanoi Hilton,” a former prison turned museum, for a powerful glimpse into Vietnam’s past.

Travel south to Hoa Lu, Vietnam’s 10th-century capital, where you’ll visit the sanctuaries of Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang and the Le Dynasty before enjoying lunch at leisure. Continue to the UNESCO-listed Trang An Landscape Complex, a stunning maze of limestone karsts, valleys, and caves that reveal traces of human history stretching back 30,000 years. Drift along its tranquil waterways on a scenic boat ride before concluding the day in Ninh Binh, where you’ll spend the night.

Witness the majestic limestone karsts rising high above, and the expansive stretches of verdant paddy fields as you journey from Ninh Binh to Ha Long City, the entrance to the breathtaking Ha Long Bay. Adorned with 3,000 limestone karsts, Ha Long Bay stands as a magnificent natural marvel of Vietnam. Embark on an elegant junk boat and set sail across the enchanting emerald waters of Ha Long Bay. Indulge in a delectable lunch before pausing to discover the numerous hidden gems nestled within the bay. As night falls, retire to your luxurious private cabin or unwind on the main deck or at the bar, soaking in the tranquillity of the surroundings.

Get up bright and early to savour a Tai Chi session on the sundeck, or opt for some leisurely moments to soak in the beauty of this splendid location before indulging in a delectable buffet brunch. Following disembarkation, make your way back to Hanoi for your onward journey to Hue, the former imperial capital nestled along the banks of the Perfume River.

Set out from your hotel for a half-day tour of Hue, Vietnam’s former imperial capital. Visit the tranquil tomb of Emperor Tu Duc, enjoy sweeping views from Bunker Hill, and stop at the historic Tiger Colosseum before exploring the grandeur of the UNESCO-listed Citadel and the spiritual Thien Mu Pagoda. After lunch at leisure, journey south along the misty Hai Van Pass, famed for its dramatic scenery, and arrive in Hoi An to check into your hotel, with the evening free to discover the town at your own pace.

Begin the day with a 13-kilometre cycle through Cam Kim Island’s peaceful rice fields and hamlets, visiting Kim Bong carpentry village and meeting locals who craft noodles, rice paper, and fishing nets by hand. Try your luck casting a net with a fisherman before cruising back to Hoi An by boat. In the afternoon, explore the UNESCO-listed Old Town, once a thriving trading port, with its mix of Chinese, Japanese, and European influences. Wander past ancient houses, museums, assembly halls, pagodas, and the famous Japanese Covered Bridge, before soaking up the timeless atmosphere of this enchanting town.

Start your journey by driving to Danang before catching a flight to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam's bustling commercial hub. Upon arrival, venture to the Cu Chi Tunnels, delving into their intricate network and uncovering their pivotal role in the Vietnam War. While most of the tunnels have been recreated above ground, you'll have the opportunity to descend below and immerse yourself in the underground experience. Afterwards, return to Saigon and indulge in a leisurely exploration of the city, soaking in its vibrant sights and lively atmosphere for the rest of the day.

Depart early for Cai Be and board a traditional wooden boat to explore the Mekong Delta, beginning with the lively floating market and a taste of fresh tropical fruits. Cruise along winding waterways before stepping ashore to discover local craft workshops and enjoy a tranquil sampan ride through shaded canals. A home-cooked Mekong lunch in an ancient house offers authentic flavours, before continuing upstream to Vinh Long with visits to a brick kiln, pottery workshop, and floating fish farm. End the day with a transfer to Can Tho, where you’ll spend the night.

Can Tho, nestled at the convergence of three rivers in the heart of the delta, is renowned as a university town. Once a significant part of the Khmer Kingdom, the Mekong Delta still retains its cultural richness, with many ethnic Khmers calling it home. Embark on an early morning adventure to witness the bustling floating markets of Cai Rang, which come alive at 7:00 am. Glide through the waterways on a small boat, immersing yourself in the vibrant atmosphere as local vendors from surrounding rural areas gather to sell a plethora of fruits and vegetables. After experiencing this lively and colourful scene, return to Ho Chi Minh City by mid-afternoon to check into your hotel. Later in the evening, gather with your group for a farewell dinner.

Depart from your hotel for a morning walking tour through the heart of Ho Chi Minh City's famous and historic city landmarks including Dong Khoi Street, the Rex Hotel, Municipal Theatre, Hotel de Ville, Nguyen Hue Boulevard, Post Office & Notre Dame Cathedral. Your vehicle will then take you to the site of the former US Embassy (now the US consulate) before visiting the impressive Reunification Palace and War Remnants Museum. Later travel to Binh Thanh district and visit Ba Chieu local wholesale market in the East of Ho Chi Minh City, before visiting the Ngoc Hoang (Jade Emperor) Pagoda. This popular 124-year-old pagoda, houses a number of intricate sculptures and woodcarvings. Return to your hotel where your tour ends and a transfer will take you to the airport for your onward travels.
