Overview

Some holidays follow a map, this one follows a sound! From the house on Detroit's West Grand Boulevard where Motown began, down through Cleveland, where a local DJ coined the words "rock and roll" and never looked back, on to the studio in Cincinnati where James Brown found his sound, and into Nashville, where the neon runs long after the country songs stop. It ends on Beale Street in Memphis, where blues, soul and rock and roll still spill out of every doorway. Five cities, one road, and a soundtrack that never really stops.
