Today, you'll journey south through Alabama into Louisiana, reaching the vibrant city of New Orleans. You'll spend two nights in the 'Big Easy,' so make the most of every moment to immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere of one of the most exuberant places on Earth.

This morning, embark on an optional guided tour that offers an ideal introduction to New Orleans. Explore the iconic French Quarter, with its iron balconies and covered sidewalks, the colourful wooden houses of Tremé, and the three spires of St. Louis Cathedral on Jackson Square.

In the afternoon, join the optional Louisiana Swampland excursion for a glimpse of the surrounding countryside and a taste of Creole life. In the evening, return to the French Quarter to soak in the unique atmosphere of the birthplace of jazz. Enjoy the vibrant sounds and spirits of legends like Louis Armstrong and 'King' Oliver that still thrive in its numerous bars and clubs.

Leaving behind the vibrant city of New Orleans, your journey takes you north into Mississippi, the birthplace of the Delta blues, and home to legendary musicians like Robert Johnson and Sonny Boy Williamson. Your first stop is Tupelo, where you can visit the modest house where Elvis Aaron Presley was born in January 1935 (entry fees apply locally). From there, you’ll head to Memphis, the lively city on the banks of the Mississippi River, famously known as the hometown of Elvis. Beyond its association with The King, Memphis boasts a rich musical heritage that rivals any city in the world. This evening, immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere of colourful Beale Street, with its vast array of restaurants and bars, many featuring live music.

Don’t miss today’s optional full-day Memphis Sounds excursion! This tour features a visit to the legendary Sun Studio, where rock and roll was born in 1951 with the recording of 'Rocket 88'. Music history was forever changed three years later when Elvis recorded Arthur Crudup's 'That's Alright, Mama' live at this iconic studio.

After Sun Studio, you’ll head to Elvis Presley Boulevard to visit Graceland, the King’s home, last recording studio, and final resting place. Following this fascinating day, enjoy another evening in Memphis, perhaps indulging in the pork ribs that have earned the city its unofficial title as The Barbecue Capital of America.

Today, you'll experience a shift in musical genres as you travel east to Nashville, the country music capital of the world and your home for the next two nights. Known for the iconic Ryman Auditorium and the Grand Ole Opry, as well as a multitude of talented guitarists and songwriters, Nashville stands as one of America's premier music cities.
