Breakfast is served in the dining cars until 09:00 as the train journeys through baobab country and ascends to Bulawayo, Zimbabwe’s second city and industrial hub. Enjoy lunch in the dining cars before transferring to Matobo National Park for a 45-minute visit to bushmen caves, rock art, and Cecil John Rhodes' grave. Continue your journey to Sawmills, where dinner is served in the dining cars.

Breakfast is served in the dining cars until 10:00 as the train travels between Gwaai and Dete, covering one of the world's longest straight stretches of railway—114 kilometres—along the eastern edge of Hwange Park. Lunch is also served onboard. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe’s largest wildlife reserve at 1,462,000 hectares. Dinner is served in the dining cars as the train heads towards Thompsons Junction.
