Wildlife
There’s plenty of opportunities to see some great wildlife, up close and personal, and in some of the most fantastic settings on earth, amongst the islands of the Pacific Ocean.
Starting with the Galapagos – and it’s difficult to start anywhere else! – there are of course those tremendous tortoises to be seen, at Puerto Villamil and Puerto Ayora to name but two places. But at the former you’ll also see turtles, sharks and marine iguanas, and at the latter there’s the quite superb Charles Darwin Research Station too. Wolf Island is a great place to see some of the local birdlife, there’s (many) more of those iguanas at Dragon Hill, and at Darwin Island there’s a great opportunity to go diving amongst the area’s whale sharks!
And there’s more great experiences like this almost wherever you go in this region of the world. There’s some more great scuba diving to be found amongst the coral reefs of Kalalin Pass and Bokolap Island in the Marshall Islands, and yet more at Haepe Pinnacle in the Solomon Islands; there’s the impressive Whale and Wildlife Centre at Rarotonga, and a chance to see the beautiful Kopeka birds at Anatakitaki Cave, both in the Cook Islands; there’s an opportunity to see the largest gathering of Lesser Frigatebirds at McKean Island (part of Kiribati), and Fiji has the quite charming Kula Eco Park at Sigatoka.
All this and more, waiting for you in this remarkable part of the world. And if you can’t find just the right package for you online, contact our expert team and they’ll find it for you – at unbeatable prices.
