Mount Charleston, officially named Charleston Peak, at 11,916 feet, is the highest of the Spring Mountains of Southern Nevada and the state's eighth highest mountain peak.
The Spring Mountains National Recreation Area, also known as Mount Charleston, offers opportunities for year-round fun. When you visit, join a guided hike with a naturalist to learn about the plants and animals unique to the Spring Mountains, attend a campfire program to learn how the mountains were formed, or trek through the snow on a guided snowshoe hike.
