Its culture runs deep, and is frequently celebrated with many festivals throughout the year; its history just as strong, and able to be seen almost everywhere you look. In Ponce you’ll find not only wonderful ancient buildings but also the enlightening and beautiful Museo Castillo Serralles. And in San Juan there’s even more of this, including the incredible – and extensive – area of Old San Juan.

But alongside the man-made delights there’s also some quite beautiful attractions provided by the natural world. Desecheo Island, near Rincon, is a stunning area which also offers superb conditions for a bit of scuba diving, getting you close to the superb marine life there. And the Yunque Rainforest definitely deserves to be explored – and you can, with special trips which are organised there.

And of course, there’s the beaches. And those other beaches. And all the other ones too. Nearly three hundred of them actually, so you’re certainly not going to have any difficulty finding that ideal spot in the sun here!
