If you’ve looked elsewhere on this site, amongst all the categories for Vancouver, you’ll have seen that there are in fact nine beaches which belong to this superb city (quite apart from everything else it so wonderfully provides for you too).
- We’ve never got as far as naming them though, so here they are, in no particular order:
Trout Lake Beach, Second Beach, Third Beach, Jericho Beach, Locarno Beach, Kitsilano Beach, Sunset Beach, English Bay Beach and Spanish Banks Beach.
- Well, okay, we lied a little above, as an obvious order at least for the beginning of the list did present itself to us (with Trout Lake Beach taking the position of a non-existent “first beach”, due to its unusual status of being positioned next to a freshwater lake), but it really does have to be said that very little separates these nine beaches. You’re sure to love all of them, probably for very different reasons (some offering seclusion, some much more lively and full of entertainments, and some absolutely ideal for indulging in a spot of watersports). And the great thing is, they’re all relatively close to each other, meaning that all of the eleven miles of perfect sands they offer up between them can so easily be yours to enjoy. Now what could be better? Why not come to Vancouver for that beach holiday you’ve always dreamed of?
