DAY 01 - 06: VANCOUVER, CANADA

With its breath taking location, surrounded by sandy beaches and spectacular mountains, Vancouver combines the best of outdoor life with a vibrant and cosmopolitan city. A starting point perhaps for one of our fantastic tours, you’ll be surprised at just how much one city can offer. Head off in a different direction every day to explore the city’s many neighbourhoods – their different but very friendly personalities will astound you. Shopping in Vancouver is a must, as you get more for your money in Canada than you do in the US. The main shopping area is Robson Street in the centre of downtown. For more eclectic one-off shops head to trendy Yaletown. There are plenty of culinary delights on offer in Vancouver, this contemporary city has a wide variety of restaurants offering all manner of local and International fare to satisfy even the most discerning palate.

There’s also hiking in the temperate rainforest close to Vancouver or take a spectacular floatplane ride to Victoria, spotting basking whales from the air. Further afield, marvel at the fjords and majestic mountain ranges. Remember to carry your camera with you at all times, to capture those amazing natural canvasses that present themselves so readily in and around this beautiful city. With so much water and wide open spaces to explore, climb aboard a yacht for a spot of sailing around the harbour or paddle a kayak along the seashore. Alternatively, hire a bike and cycle along the seawall at Stanley Park, enjoying the great outdoors at your own pace, just like the locals do. If you want to get up close and personal to a different type of inhabitant, take a trip to the Grouse Mountain’s Refuge for Endangered Wildlife to see the resident Grizzly Bears – Grinder and Coola!

With so much to see and do, having a holiday in Vancouver is not just one of the most wonderful places on earth to live it’s also a great place to enjoy a visit, over and over again!

DAY 06 - 11: TORONTO, CANADA

Toronto is that rarity among major North American cities, with a community of small-town virtues, few big city vices, and pleasant tree lined streets to balance out the skyscrapers. Toronto has all the advantages of a city of three million people, an art world, theatre, television production, 6000 restaurants, major-league baseball, hockey and football. Toronto is also Canada’s largest city, with over 2.5 million residents and it is also the business and financial capital.

The Gardiner museum is the only museum in Canada that is solely dedicated to ceramics, of which have been acquired from many locations across the globe. For animal lovers there is the Toronto Zoo, which houses an amazing 5,000 plus animals comprising of over 450 individual species.

Toronto also has some fantastic shopping experiences at hand. The Yorkville Neighbourhood, Financial District, Harbourfront are all popular destinations to suit any shopping fanatics.
