Day 3 – 4 Auckland to Bay Of Islands
Enjoy an Auckland city sights tour before travelling to the Parry Kauri Park to see a Kauri Tree. Continue to the Bay of Islands enjoy a guided tour of the Waitangi Treaty Grounds, the location of the signing of the treaty between the Maori tribes and the British. Next day travel aboard a luxury catamaran to Cape Brett the famous Hole in the Rock. Keep an eye out for bottlenose and common dolphins. The remainder of today is at leisure.

Day 5 Bay of Islands to Auckland
Farewell the Bay of Islands and drive south via Whangarei and Dargaville to Matakohe where you will enjoy a visit and informative talk at the Kauri Museum. Enjoy some free time in Auckland this afternoon.

Day 6 – 7 Auckland to Rotorua
Travel to Glenbrook Vintage Railway for a nostalgic trip on a beautifully restored vintage steam train, with morning tea. Continue to Longlands Farm for lunch before arriving into Rotorua. Visit Rainbow Springs wildlife park. Next day begins with a Gondola ride breakfast at Skyline Rotorua followed by a visit to the Agrodome. Enjoy some free time then travel to Te Puia to see the boiling mud pools Geysers. This evening experience an entertaining Maori Hangi Concert.

Travel along the Thermal Explorer Highway to the spectacular Huka Falls. Continue to Lake Taupo, and visit the Southward Car Museum before heading along the Kapiti Coast to Wellington. Next day, enjoy a tour of Wellington including time to explore Te Papa, New Zealands National Museum. Explore the city at your leisure this
afternoon.

Day 10 – 11 Wellington to Christchurch
Board the Interislander Ferry before joining the Coastal Pacific, for a rail journey that follows a thin wedge of land between the Pacific Ocean and the Kaikoura Ranges. Meet your Ultimate Coach in Kaikoura for the journey across the Northern Canterbury Plains to Christchurch. Next day visit the International Antarctic Centre followed by a city tour of Christchurch, then enjoy time at leisure.

Day 12 Christchurch - Fox Glacier
Today board the TranzAlpine, renowned as one of the great train journeys of the world. Travel over massive viaducts and spectacular gorges as you ascend to Arthurs Pass located in the centre of the Southern Alps. Board your coach and travel to Hokitika, famous for its Greenstone before continuing via Franz Josef to Fox Glacier where time is available to experience a scenic flight (optional, weather permitting).

Day 13 - 14 Fox Glacier to Queenstown
See the snow capped peaks of the Southern Alps as you travel along the West Coast. Continue via the Haast Pass, before arriving into picturesque Queenstown. The next day is free to explore Queenstown. In the evening board the vintagesteamship TSS Earnslaw cruise across Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak Station. On arrival sit back and relax, as you are treated to the best of New Zealands cuisine in the Colonels Homestead.

Day 15 Queenstown – Milford sound overnight cruise
Travel to Arrowtown and visit the Lakes District Museum. Continue via Te Anau to Milford Sound and board the Milford Mariner for your overnight cruise. There is plenty of time to view the fiords spectacular waterfalls, rainforest, mountains and wildlife.

Day 16 Milford Sound to Te Anau
After breakfast, head back out to the Tasman Sea (weather permitting) and explore more of the fiord. Return to the wharf for your scenic coach journey to Te Anau. This afternoon enjoy a cruise across Lake Te Anau to visit the Glow Worm Caves admire the incredible limestone caverns, waterfalls mystery of the Glow Worm Grotto.

Enjoy Devonshire Tea, then return to the city for free time to explore at leisure.
