The Lodge - Luxury Suites

Tuningi’s exclusivity is emphasised by the limited number of rooms, allowing a total of only 16 guests at the Lodge at any time. Guests are accommodated in four Luxury and two Family Suites, all connected by wooden walkways, but separated from the next providing peace and privacy.

The Lodge has been designed in such a way that it can be divided into the Main Lodge and Little Tuningi which is ideal for families, intimate groups or VIP’s in search of utter privacy.

The African chic style of the Main Lodge is carried through to the elegant suites, all furnished in timber with with soft, warm colours giving the rooms a comfortable organic feel. The Suites have been carefully designed creating space by blending the interiors with the bush by utilising retractable windows doors wherever possible.

Each beautifully appointed spacious bedroom, with a comfortable lounge area, has its own gas fireplace that is lit (on the chilly nights) on your return from your evening game drives or when you retire to bed at night. Air-conditioning and ceiling fans offer cool respite in the summer months. The enormous bathrooms are a real treat at Tuningi... not only is there a fireplace, but an oversized bath with fabulous views and a private alfresco (outside) rock shower.

Little Tuningi Private Camp

Little Tuningi offers an exclusive luxurious experience, accommodating 6 adults or 4 adults and 2 children. This Private Camp is set away from the Main Lodge, yet joined to it by a wooden walkway. It the perfect escape for guests who are in search of the ultimate privacy, and has been purposefully designed to cater for families and small group safaris.

The Luxury Suite and Family Suite at Little Tuningi are complemented by a private pool and mini outdoor boma (for outdoor meals around the fire).

Little Tuningi’s Luxury Suite accommodates 2 adults, while the Family Suite accommodates either 2 adults and 2 children or 4 adults. These two Suites can be booked on an exclusive basis as a Private Camp, or they can be booked as part of the Main Lodge.

The Family Suite has two en-suite bedrooms, an adjoining lounge and dining room, kitchenette and a wrap-around wooden deck.

Fold-away glass doors on both the Luxury Suites and the Family Suite open up to a breathtaking view of the surrounding bush.

The spacious Luxury Suite and the two en-suite bedrooms in the Family Suite are all air-conditioned and have ceiling fans and a gas fireplace. The beautifully appointed bathrooms boast a gas fireplace, over-sized bath, double basins and an alfresco rock shower.

Little Tuningi comes with its own private game vehicle and ranger, allowing guests to indulge in the luxury of setting the pace of their safari, as well as making their game viewing experience more personalised.

Having full access to the Main Lodge and all its facilities gives you the choice to be completely self-contained or to socialise with the other guests.
