Day by day
Day 1 London – San Francisco
Fly direct from London to San Francisco, one of the most cosmopolitan cities in North America. Upon arrival make your own way to your hotel in San Francisco and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 2 San Francisco
You have a full day to explore this fantastic city and take advantage of all that this great city has to offer, Pier 39 at Fisherman’s Wharf, the famous Painted Ladies and enjoy the numerous shops and fantastic restaurants.
Day 3 San Francisco to Santa Rosa
This morning you will pick up your hire car from Union Square and drive the 1 hour drive from San Francisco to Santa Rosa. On the way make sure you stop off at the Point Reyes national sea shore to enjoy a picnic on the coast. When you have arrived in Santa Rosa check into your hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure.
Day 4 Santa Rosa to Ukiah
After you night here you will continue to the town of Ukiah. This only takes you 1 hour so you will have plenty of time to get there. Check in to your hotel when you have arrived and enjoy the afternoon at leisure.
Day 5 Ukiah
Enjoy your full day here and Visit the year-round, certified organic farmers' market in Historic Downtown Ukiah and then take the Observatory walking route to pick up a picnic lunch at Westside Renaissance market, which features local, organic fare from all over the county. Head out to Campovida in Hopland to enjoy your lunch under the grapevine arbors. Tour the 13 acres of organic farmland and sample the estate's Mendocino County wines.
Day 6 Ukiah to Anderson Valley Wine Region
After your 2 nights in Ukiah the next part of your journey takes you 3 hours. It’s an enjoyable journey with plenty of places to stop on the way. When you arrive into Anderson find your hotel and check in. Enjoy the evening at leisure.
Day 7 Anderson Valley Wine Region
Enjoy your full day here by visiting some of the many wineries. Goldeneye Winery is famous for its Point Noir, Navarro Vineyards famous for its Gewurztraminers and whites and the Husch Vineyards which is the oldest in Anderson and is famous for its Chenin Blanc.
Day 8 Anderson Valley to Napa
This morning grab some breakfast before driving the 2hour 30 minute drive to Napa. When you have arrived check into your hotel and enjoy the afternoon at leisure.
Day 9 Napa
On your first full day in Napa head to the Bouchon Bakery for some amazing pastries and coffee, I have also been told the macaroons are to die for! The next place you should visit is the V Market Place 1870 which is most certainly a one of a kind shopping centre. After a spot of retail therapy there is time for a photo stop at the famous restaurant ‘The French Laundry’. The afternoon is free to explore of maybe try your first Napa Valley Vineyard, the Domaine Chandon is only up the road and has a stunning setting.
Day 10 Napa
Today why not go to the Robert Mondavi Winery, Learning how wine is made is the first step towards appreciating it and Mondavi's tasting fee includes a tour that takes you from vines to finished wine in 75 minutes. And if your experience with Mondavi has been supermarket level wines, you're in for a very pleasant surprise when you taste their good stuff.
Day 11 Napa to London
After your 3 nights in this stunning wine valley it is time to drive back to san Francisco ready for your flight home. Your flight will depart in the evening so there is plenty of time to stop on the way back for some lunch or some last minute shopping. You will need to drop your car back off at the airport and when you have done this make your way to check-in for you flight home.
Day 12 London
After your overnight flight arrive back into London after a fantastic holiday.
