Then drive to the stunning wine-lands region of Franschhoek for 2 nights bed & breakfast at the Francshhoek country house and villas where you can explore the region and visit some of their great vineyards and local attractions.
After you 2 night stay you have 1 night in Hermanus before making your way to your luxury treetop accommodation in Plettenburg bay. This truly unique hotel will leave you relaxed and speechless! After your amazing 2 nights make your way to St Francis bay for 2 more night of luxury at your beachhouse style lodge.
Then continue you drive to your private game reserve for a 3 night Full Board stay that will include 2 FREE game drives per day, one morning and one evening, where you'll hope to see the 'BIG 5'! Day 1 London – Cape Town
Fly overnight from London to Cape Town with Emirates or South African Airways.
Day 2 Cape Town
Once you arrive you have a FREE car to collect for the duration of your stay. Make your way to your hotel where the rest of your day is for you to relax and unwind after your long flight.
Day 3
Your time in Cape Town is free for you to explore this magnificent city. Get to the top of Table Mountain, go whale watching or even Shark Cage diving for those of you who are brave enough, visit Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 27 years and take in all the amazing things to do around the Victoria & Albert Waterfront or Camps Bay. We have a range of excursions that can be pre-booked so look at the ‘Things to do’ section for suggestions and prices.
Day 4 Cape Town to Babylonstoren Farm
Today you will drive the short distance to your next accommodation. When you arrive settle into your accommodation and enjoy the evening at leisure.
Day 5 Babylonstoren Farm
Babylonstoren is a Cape Dutch farm with vineyards and orchards surrounded by the dramatic mountains of the Drakenstein Valley. It has an exceptionally well–preserved werf dating from 1690. A fruit and vegetable garden of botanical diversity supplies a remarkable restaurant. Guests staying at an exclusive farm hotel enjoy access to the entire farm, plus facilities like a spa and gym. The aim is to have guests feel more comfortable, more alive among warm smiles and the simple daily rhythm of the farm.
Day 6 Babylonstoren Farm to Franschhoek
Your 2 days at this amazing farm have come to an end but it is only a 20 minute drive to your next accommodation where you will have a completely different experience. The day is at leisure.
Day 7 Franschhoek

Day 8 Franschhoek to Hermanus
After your 2 days in Franschhoek your next part of your drive will take you to the seaside town of Hermanus, famous for its Humpback Whales. You have 1 night here to enjoy the stunning scenery, there famous fish and chips and an amazing Whale watching tour (seasonal) which you can pre-book with us!
Day 9 Hermanus to Plettenburg Bay
After an overnight in Hermanus you will begin your 3 hour drive to Plettenburg Bay. When you arrive check into your amazing treetop accommodation and enjoy the evening at leisure.
Day 10 Tsala Treetop Lodge
Like the monumental ruins of an ancient central African civilisation, Tsala’s impressive stone-masonry entrance flanked by water features leads to a magnificent foyer supported by Blackwood columns. The elaborate afro-baroque décor’s earthy colours, rich textures and handcrafted fittings are inspired by the diverse cultures of Africa, with the sophistication of the Western World. Day 11 Tsala Treetop Lodge to St Francis Bay
After your magical experience in Plettenburg you will drive 2 hours east to St Francis bay where you have a further 2 nights at the stunning seaside property.
Day 12 Sandals Guest House

Day 13 Sandals Guest House to Shamwari Game Reserve
It’s the day you have been waiting for and what better way to end your fantastic South Africa holiday than with 3 nights at the award winning Shamwari Game Reserve. Arrive Lunch time so you can settle in before you evening Game drive.
Day 14 – 15 Shamwari Game Reserve
When you visit Shamwari Game Reserve, we would want you to have the 'safari of a lifetime'. We will assign a personal game ranger to your group of between 6 & 10 people. Your game ranger and lodge manager will design your daily program with you.
We want you to experience, learn and enjoy the very best that African wildlife viewing can offer. To achieve this goal, we have brought together the best that the area has to offer.
There is great game viewing, in modern open game viewing vehicles that have been especially converted to maximise comfort and viewing potential. Your personal game ranger will provide insightful and valuable information about the fauna and flora.
In between game drives if your time is not filled with relaxing, reading, spa treatments, swimming, enjoying delicious cuisine or a game walk, you can visit one of the two Born Free Big Cat Sanctuaries, the Ian Player Rhino Awareness centre or The Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre.
Day 16 Port Elizabeth to London
The time has come to leave Shamwari and drive to Port Elizabeth airport where you will drop off your car and check in for your overnight flight back to London
Day 17 London
Arrive back into the UK after an amazing South African adventure!
