Day 6 Sydney to Hobart (Tasmania) to Strahan
This morning make your way to the airport ready for your internal flight to Hobart. Pick up your car from the airport and travel along the Lyell Highway across the centre of Tasmania to Strahan, passing through the lush scenery of the World Heritage Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park, a huge expanse of mainly impenetrable rainforest. Perhaps take the short scenic walk to Donaghys Hill which is rewarded with spectacular views of the Franklin River Valley and Frenchmans Cap.

Day 7 Strahan & Gordon River cruise
Today you are booked on a spectacular Gordon River lunch cruise through the unspoilt scenery of what is one of the world's last great wilderness areas.
Day 8 Strahan to Cradle Mountain
Travel north to the small town of Zeehan, named after Abel Tasman's ship and now a classified historic town. From Zeehan continue to Rosebery and then to Cradle Mountain National Park

Day 9 Cradle Mountain
Relax and enjoy the peace of this remote area. Look out for wildlife on the walking route around Dove Lake which sits in the shadow of Cradle Mountain's jagged contours. Local activity programmes include guided walks and eco-tours.

Day 10 Cradle Mountain to Launceston
Drive through the attractive foothills of Mount Roland on the direct, scenic route to Launceston where you are free to relax. Perhaps visit beautiful Cataract Gorge, just 15 minutes' walk from the centre.

Day 11-12 Launceston to Freycinet
Explore the spectacular beaches of the Bay of Fires and travel the tranquil coast to Freycinet National Park. Full day to explore; go kayaking, take a cruise or hike to the spectacular curved sandy beach at Wineglass Bay. Note: Guests must purchase a national park pass locally, which costs approx. $24 per vehicle per 24-hour period.

Day 13 Freycinet to Port Arthur
Drive across the narrow isthmus at Eaglehawk Neck where a chain of dogs used to be stationed to capture any escaped prisoners from Port Arthur, the infamous former convict settlement. Entrance is included to the historic and extensive convictera ruins, still atmospheric today.

Day 14 Port Arthur to Hobart
Maybe take a harbour cruise or guided walk around Port Arthur. Enjoy the scenic Tasman Peninsula before driving back to historic Hobart where you're free to explore.

Day 15: Hobart to London
Your tour concludes today. Note: Return your car by the same time it was picked up on day one to avoid additional charges. Your flight will depart from Hobart so make sure you are there in time to check in.
