Your free trip will Journey deep into the heart of one of the greatest natural wonders in the world with this magnificent Macuco safari that includes a wagon trail through the jungle, a hike, a motorboat cruise and a refreshing ‘waterfall shower’ followed by a dramatic rappel descent.
The excitement begins on a Jeep-towed open wagon trail through 3km of the Iguazu National Park, where you will see canyons, wild animals and a spectacular view of the falls.
The hike is the second stage of our adventure and there’s a 600-metre stretch that leads to the Macuco Falls, which spills down from a height of some 20 metres and is a perfect for a refreshing dip on hot days.
You will receive a lifejacket and helmet before you hop aboard the motor boat for an upriver cruise until reaching the base of the falls is, next to the falls known as the ‘Devil’s Throat’. The captain manoeuvres the boat in order to get close enough to provide the passengers with a quick and refreshing shower.
Trek through the rainforests of the Iguazu National Park to the cliff of the canyon. Then experience the breathtaking rappel descent by rope of the 50 metre-plus (more than 180ft) rock cliffs that overlook the waterfalls.
Day 1 London to Rio de Janerio
Fly direct from London to Rio. When you arrive your transfer will pick you up from the airport and take you to your hotel. Enjoy the evening at leisure.
Day 2 Rio de Janerio
Your first day in Rio is perhaps best spent getting oriented to the city. Get a bird’s eye helicopter view of the marvellous city guarded by giant granite rocks and vast blue oceans. Alternatively roam downtown on foot or bicycle and mingle with the charming locals while learning of the city’s fascinating lore and history. Follow this up with a delectable seafood lunch cruise that sails past the beaches of Niteroi. When the sun sets it’s time to take out your dancing shoes! Catch a samba show and enjoy a famous Brazilian steakhouse dinner.
Day 3 Rio De Janerio
A holiday in Rio is incomplete without a tour of the famed trifecta of Corcovado, Christ the Redeemer and Sugar Loaf which includes a ride through the Tijuca Rain forest by cog train! Opt for either a half-day or full-day tour and save some time to explore the quaint town of Buzios, known for its architectural finesse. Alternatively visit Petropolis, the lap of luxury, home to Brazil’s two emperors. End your Brazilian sojourn with a sumptuous carnivorous buffet at Porcao or taste some traditional Portuguese fare at the famous Antiquarius.
Day 4 Rio De Janerio to Iguazu falls
This morning after you have enjoyed some breakfast check out your hotel and your transfer will be waiting to take you to the airport for your flight to Igazu. This is only a short flight so you will arrive around Lunch time and your transfer will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel. The evening and afternoon can be spent at leisure.
Day 5 Iguazu falls
Today you will spend on your FREE full day excursion ‘Iguassu Falls Brazil side with Macuco’.

Day 6 Iguazu falls to Florianopolis
Grab some breakfast and then your transfer will pick you up and take you to the airport ready for your flight to Florianopolis. When you land another transfer will be waiting for you to take you to your hotel. Enjoy the evening at leisure.
Day 7 – 10 Florianopolis
Most travellers head to Florianopolis for the beautiful beaches. Swimming, surfing, snorkelling or just a spot of lazy sunbathing are likely to account for most of your days' activity during a trip here. You can also take a bus into Florianopolis city centre and spend some time getting to know this lively city. Stroll the busy shopping streets, stop for something to eat at one of the many juice and sandwich bars, and head to the Mercado Publico for a spot of bargain hunting. In the early evening, the market's pavement cafes become a popular spot for after-work eating and drinking, so bag a table and chairs before 5pm.
Day 11 Florianopolis to London
After breakfast your transfer will take you to the airport to catch an internal flight back to Rio. Your international flight leaves that evening and will fly you directly back to London.
Day 12 London
Arrive back into the UK after a fantastic holiday.
