Join the fun and experience easy rafting/scenic float trip down the Athabasca River, a designated Canadian heritage River. A National Park licensed guide will provide commentary on the human and natural history of Jasper while navigating you along the same route used by the “fur traders” over 2 centuries ago. Lifejackets and the specially designed, 7 meter/25 foot long, oar powered rafts’ offer a safe and comfortable ride through several small easy sets of rapids and calm stretches that any frist time rafter will enjoy. Don’t worry the guides do all the rowing; you sit back and enhoy while exploring all the spectacular scenery. There is always a chance of seeing carious wildlife including elk, deer, moose, coyotes, wolves, eagles, ospreys, mountain sheep and bears. Tours will operate rain or shine, and a poncho will be provided when required.
Bring the entire family and join us for a unique perspective of Jasper National Park. Our 16 kilometer, 2½ hour round trip (transportation time included) passes through many small sets of rapids and calm stretches, which allows your National Park Licensed guide to point out the natural and human history of Jasper. The Athabasca River is the same route that was used by the “fur traders” many years ago, (David Thompson 1811). Our specially designed rafts offer a safe, comfortable ride that any first time rafter will enjoy. This trip is for everyone from toddlers to seniors.

Duration of 'on the river' time is approximately 1-1.5 hours, total round trip time of approximately 2-2.5 hours including transportation.

Additional Information
Rivers are rated on a scale of one to six; class 1 is calm moving water, class 6 being Niagara Falls. Relax, the section of the Athabasca River that we raft on is rated as a Class 2; meaning that there are some sections with rapids that do little more than get your backside wet!
Please bring casual clothing and footwear that you don't mind getting wet are appropriate for this river trip. Mountain weather is ever-changing and unpredictable so bring a sweater or jacket just in case.
Cameras are welcome, however, at your own risk and responsibility. Souvenir photographs of your raft trip will be available for your viewing and purchase.
