Overview

Spend seven nights in Halifax and discover the province of Nova Scotia with FREE tickets to the Titanic Exhibition and three FREE tours.

Halifax comes highly recommended, if you're looking for picturesque and historic elements to your holiday. It is the capital of the province of Nova Scotia. The largest urban area in the Atlantic provinces, Halifax looks out over one of the world's largest natural harbours and is an important seaport. Nature lovers will find sandy beaches, beautiful gardens and hiking, birding and beachcombing. Urbanites can enjoy the symphony, live theatre, art galleries and museums, and a lively nightlife. Halifax is an affordable city that provides a mix of Canadian history and modern living, with the constant influence of the sea.

Located in Atlantic Canada and almost completely surrounded by ocean, the province of Nova Scotia is a place where you can feel your pace fall in sync with the rhythm of the sea, as the clean salt air breathes life into an afternoon. Immerse yourself in culture that ranges from traditional to avant-garde, from bagpipes to world-class golf.

In Nova Scotia, fresh and local isn't a choice. It’s a way of life. Nova Scotia was built on a connection to the sea and it's understanding of the land has allowed the rich culture to thrive. From award winning craft breweries, distilleries, cideries and vineyards & wineries, to feasts made from the finest local ingredients – there’s plenty here to whet your appetite. With so many incredible culinary delights to choose from, it's no surprise Nova Scotia is so well known for it's kitchen parties.

FREE - Annapolis Valley Wine & Food Tour

This day trip from Halifax will introduce you to three wineries for vineyard tours and wine tastings in Annapolis Valley, an area of great scenic beauty known as Nova Scotia's premier food and wine destination. You'll also enjoy a gourmet lunch and the chance to sample unique jams, mustards and chutneys. The small-group tour is limited to eight people.

FREE - Peggy's Cove & Halifax Tour with Lobster Roll Lunch

Discover Halifax sightseeing gems on this small-group 5.5-hour tour that takes you to several places skipped by large tour groups. Visit Peggy’s Cove, one of the most beautiful and photographed lighthouses. At the SS Atlantic Heritage Park, learn about the 1873 marine disaster that predated the ‘Titanic’. Pay respects at the Swiss Air Memorial and the Titanic Gravesite, and wind through the Hydrostone, a neighborhood built after the Halifax Explosion of 1917. Dig into tasty lobster rolls at a diner that overlooks Hackett’s Cove. Hotel and port transport included.

FREE - Tall Ship Silva Sailing Cruise

Experience the unforgettable delight of cruising on Halifax Harbour in classic style and comfort on the Tall Ship Silva, a 130’ schooner. Departing from the heart of downtown Halifax, set sail into the beautiful harbour where you will have a mariner’s view of Halifax’s biggest attractions including the Harbour Bridge, the Fort George, McNab’s Island, Point Pleasant Park and Historic Properties. You will discover Halifax’s rich history and some of the stories and tales behind these iconic landmarks.

Get involved and help hoist the largest sails in Halifax Harbour, a truly unique part of your experience aboard this ship. Step back in time as the wind fills the sails and carries the ship across the harbour. Take the lead and steer the helm or tie a knot – otherwise simply sit back, relax and enjoy getting to know your crew and Captain – all of whom are at your service. Find the Tall Ship Silva at Sackville Wharf, located at 1655 Lower Water Street.

FREE - Titanic Exhibition Tickets

Some of the most significant artifacts and records related to RMS Titanic can be found in Nova Scotia. The Maritime Museum of the Atlantic has what is generally recognized as the world's finest collection of wooden artifacts from the vessel. These fragments, including a near perfectly preserved deckchair, are featured as part of the museum's permanent exhibit.
