Day by Day
Day 1 London – San Francisco
Fly direct from London to San Francisco, one of the most cosmopolitan cities in North America. Upon arrival make your own way to your hotel in San Francisco and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 2 San Francisco
You have a full day to explore this fantastic city and take advantage of the FREE Golden Gate Bay Cruise we are offering. This 60 minute Bay Cruise is the perfect introduction to San Francisco. This is a fully narrated tour that loops around San Francisco Bay, sailing next to Alcatraz Island and under the Golden Gate Bridge. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the sights of San Francisco including Pier 39 at Fisherman’s Wharf, the famous Painted Ladies and enjoy the numerous shops and fantastic restaurants.
Day 3 San Francisco
Your last full day in San Francisco can be used to explore many of the sights a bit further afield. You may want to visit stunning Yosemite National Park or even take a trip to sample some of the regions famous wines in Napa Valley. San Francisco has so much to offer that you might never want to leave!

Day 4 San Francisco to Oakland
After breakfast pick up your car from O’Farrell Street and drive the short drive to Oakland. Here you will spend 1 night in pure culinary delight as you dine at one of the many top restaurants.
Recommended Foodie hotspots: Coffee at Blue bottle coffee, Chicken & Waffles at the Brown sugar kitchen or Doughnuts at Doughnut Dolly.
Day 5 Oakland to Sacramento
This morning enjoy some breakfast before making your way to Sacramento where you will spend 2 nights. Once you arrive check-in to your hotel and enjoy the afternoon and evening at leisure.
Day 6 Sacramento
Visit a farmers market. Sacramento is home to the largest “Certified Farmers Market” in California and has the most ethnically diversified market in terms of produce offerings, growers and customers. Many of the farmers markets operate year-round. Get acquainted with Sacramento and take a Fast Eddie Bike Tour as you check out the urban art in Midtown. Taste some local wines or cruise through the Delta region as you enjoy one of these scenic, educational (and environmentally friendly) rides. Eddie promises not to go too fast. Mix it up at Mulvaney's fine-dining establishment, located in a 1893 firehouse. The restaurant focuses on seasonal and local products when creating its dishes.
Recommended Foodie hotspots: Squeezburger at the squeeze inn, any of the sausages and a beer at Low Bray or fantastic cocktails at Hook & Ladder.
Day 7 Sacramento to Napa Valley
This morning you will drive to Napa Valley. Napa Valley is one of the north’s premier wine and food destinations. The region is home to more than 125 exciting restaurants, awarded more Michelin Stars per capita than any other wine region in the world. Here is where the farm-to-table culinary scene meets the creativity of some of the world’s best chefs, resulting in a wide range of culinary adventures. Napa Valley is also home to the birthplace and heart of America’s finest winemakers and wineries. There are more world-acclaimed wineries here than in any other single region of North America. Ninety-five percent of Napa Valley’s 400+ wineries are family-owned and operated.
Recommended Foodie hotspots: Push the boat out at a Michelin starred restaurant in Yountville, grab picnic food at Oxbow Public Market or hop on the Napa Valley Wine Train to sip your way through the stunning scenery.
Day 8 Napa Valley to Sonoma County
Sonoma County was names one of Wine Enthusiasts 10 Best Wine Travel Destinations for 2014. Neighbouring Napa Valley to the west, this diverse destination represents the best of northern California – premium wine, farm to table dining, organic farms and orchards, breweries and distilleries, and artisan cheese producers, all surrounded by incredible natural beauty. Breath-taking highway 1, aka the Pacific coast highway, delights visitors with crashing waves, sea lions and otters sunning on the beaches, and amazing sunsets that colour the sky in brilliant hues. Day 10 Sonoma County to London
After some lunch make your way back to San Francisco airport ready for your flight home. Drop your car of at the airport and check in for your flight.
Day 11 London
Arrive back into London after a fantastic holiday.
