Fly from Miami to San Francisco

San Francisco, known as the 'City by the Bay' is arguably the most cosmopolitan and bohemian city in America. It is also one of the most beautiful, with its pretty houses and hilly streets providing breath taking views of the bay and the famous Golden Gate Bridge.  Whilst San Francisco is “big” in terms of attractions and amenities, it is geographically small – only 49 square miles, making it very easy to see and do a great many things in a short period of time - the perfect Twin or Multi-Centre destination.

So whether you are gazing in awe at the Golden Gate bridge, taking a ride on one of the iconic Cable Cars, soaking up the vibe on Fisherman's Wharf, or visiting the notorious former prison of  Alcatraz, you will find something of interest around every corner of San Francisco. 

Drive from San Francisco to Yosemite National Park

One of the world's most dramatic geological spectacles, Yosemite National Park encompasses 1,170sq miles, with many breathtaking view points for drivers, including Glacier Point, located at the top of a 3,200ft almost-sheer cliff.

But to really get to grips with it all, ditch the car and hire a mountain bike or don some sturdy boots. Wonders include dense groves of giant sequoia trees, the clear Merced River, the famous rock face of El Capitan and Yosemite Falls, the highest in North America (seasonal). Wildlife exists in abundance with deer, coyotes and even black bears on the prowl, so take your binoculars and don't get too close! Ghost towns and mining museums also await discovery, as does eerie Mono Lake, a greenish alkaline stretch of water in which nothing can live.
