Day 1 London to Durban

Fly overnight from London to Durban

Day 2 Durban

When you arrive in Durban pick up your compact car and drive the 1 hour 30 minute journey to your accommodation. When you arrive settle in and enjoy the day at leisure.

Day 3 Fordoun Boutique hotel

Day 4 Fordoun to Battlefields

After your 2 days at this stunning hotel it’s time to continue your drive to the Battlefields where you have 2 nights at the Isandlwana Lodge.

Day 5 Isandlwana Lodge

Isandlwana Lodge is an ecologically and culturally sensitive building perched on the side of the Nyoni Rock just underneath where the Zulu Commander stood during the Battle of Isandlwana on the 22nd of January 1879. The building is made of local rock and has a thatched roof. There are twelve bedrooms, each with a private balcony looking out to views that seem to go on forever. The rooms are comfortably furnished in a mixture of ethnic and modern styles. The main level of the lodge is where the lobby, dining area and bar are located and there is a board room and library just above them. The wrap-around verandas overlook the same marvelous view as one enjoys from the bedrooms. Battlefield tours of Isandlwana and Rorke's Drift are led each day by Rob Gerrard, FRGS,author and renowned resident historian at the lodge or one of his associates. Enjoy walks, photographic safaris, birding, horse riding and cultural tours.

Day 6 Isandlwana Lodge to Hluhluwe

After 2 magical days learning and discovering the History of the battlefields you are now on your way to your Game Reserve. When you arrive you will check in and go straight on your first evening game drive!

Day 7 – 8 Thanda Private Game Reserve

Day 9 Hluhluwe to Umhlanga

You will have your last game drive early this morning before checking out your hotel and continuing your drive down the coast where you’re last 3 nights will be spent at the famous Oyster Box Hotel

Day 10 - 11 The Oyster Box

Day 12 Durban to London
