DAY 01: BOSTON, USA
Arrive Boston. Greeter will assist you in boarding a shuttle to hotel, centrally located near the city’s exclusive boutiques and fine restaurants. The Tour Manager will be available at the Tour Desk in the hotel lobby this evening.
DAY 02: BOSTON - OGUNQUIT, USA
Boston is a vibrant, thriving city renowned for its cultural facilities, world-class educational institutions, champion sports teams as well as its place at the forefront of American history. This morning, enjoy a tour of Boston’s historic sites, architecturally important neighborhoods, waterfront district and neighboring Cambridge, home to MIT and Harvard University.
This afternoon depart for New Hampshire and spend time on own in Portsmouth, a charming seaport community that is the country’s third oldest city. Today it boasts an interesting mix of historic buildings, sidewalk cafes, art galleries, and distinctive artisans' boutiques, and has been listed as one of America's Prettiest Towns in the United States.
Continue up the coast to Ogunquit, translated as “beautiful place by the sea”. Walk the Marginal Way, a mile-long paved foot path that winds along the rocky shore for some of the most scenic views along the New England coast.
DAY 03: OGUNQUIT - NORTH CONWAY, USA
This morning travel into New Hampshire’s White Mountains to Mount Washington.
Upon arrival, board The Cog and ride the world's first mountain climbing cog railway. The almost 10km round trip includes admission to the Mt. Washington Observatory Museum and approximately one hour to enjoy the Summit of Mt. Washington, the highest peak in the eastern United States.
DAY 04: NORTH CONWAY - WILLIAMSTOWN, USA
Travel along the Kancamagus Scenic Byway and through Franconia Notch, a major mountain pass. Visit Flume Gorge, a natural granite gorge extending 800 feet. You’ll walk among towering granite walls, cascading waterfalls, historic covered bridges, glacial boulders and much more.
This afternoon, continue into Vermont’s Green Mountains and travel through its quaint villages. Stop in Manchester for coffee and a visit to a country store before traveling to the Berkshires for the overnight.
DAY 05: WILLIAMSTOWN - PLYMOUTH, USA
Visit the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge. Rockwell used Stockbridge as his inspiration for life in small town America. Many of his LIFE Magazine covers were images from this typical New England village.
Then, travel to Plymouth, “America’s hometown”. See Plymouth Rock and visit Plimoth Plantation, a recreated village of 1627. Tonight, enjoy a typical Thanksgiving dinner.
DAY 06: PLYMOUTH & PROVINCETOWN, USA
Travel along the beautiful Cape Cod National Seashore to Provincetown, a unique artisan community.
This afternoon, board a narrated Whale Watch for a cruise adventure to see whales and other marine life in their natural habitat.
This evening, enjoy a traditional New England Lobsterbake.
DAY 07: PLYMOUTH - NEWPORT, USA
Board the ferry in Woods Hole to the island of Martha’s Vineyard. This popular island resort is the vacation home to many celebrities and politicians including President Clinton and President Obama.
Tour the island’s six independent towns including exclusive Edgartown, Oak Bluffs – known for its Gingerbread cottages, and the Aquinnah Cliffs at Gay Head. This afternoon take the ferry back to the mainland and transfer to Newport for the overnight.
DAY 08: NEWPORT - NEW YORK CITY, USA
Begin the morning’s tour in Old Town to see historic sites from the 1600’s as well as more recent times, including St. Mary’s Church, where John F. Kennedy married Jacqueline Bouvier.
Known as the retreat of the very wealthiest American families of the country’s Gilded Age, Newport is most famous for its mansions. We’ll tour along Ocean Drive and “Millionaire Row” and visit one of Newport’s most interesting mansions, Rosecliff, where many movies including “The Great Gatsby” and “High Society” were filmed.
Depart for New York City this afternoon. Coach will drop passengers at JFK Int’l Airport by late afternoon and midtown Manhattan by early evening.
