Itinerary

Day by Day

Day 1 London - Singapore

Fly overnight direct from London to Singapore.

Day 2 Singapore

Arrive at Singapore airport and join your transfer to your city centre hotel. The remainder of the day is free to relax and unwind after your flight from the UK.

Day 3 Singapore

Today is yours to explore one of the finest cities in the ‘East’. A great way to explore Singapore is to book a city and your guide will help you get your bearings and point out the best places of interest. Why not take Afternoon Tea at Raffles, one of the finest hotels in the world, or for great views of the city take a ride on the Singapore Flyer, the world’s tallest observation wheel!

Day 4 Singapore

A final full day of sightseeing at your leisure to do all things that you haven’t been able to see or do so far.

Day 5 Singapore – Bali

This morning you’ll be collected from your hotel and transferred to Singapore airport to catch your flight to Denpasar, Bali where you’ll then be met and transferred to your hotel. Once you have checked-in to your Bali hotel the rest of the day is spent at your leisure.

Day 6 Kuta, Bali

A full day at leisure to just relax and soak up the sun and enjoy the beach or the pool with a cocktail ot two!

Day 7 Kuta, Bali

This morning you have some more time to relax and enjoy a spot of lunch before being collected at around 2pm for your Monkey Forest, Mengwi Temple & Tanah Lot tour. This fascinating cultural tour introduces you to the rural charms of Bali and takes you to two of her most famous temples and the sacred Monkey Forest sanctuary.

 

Journey through the beautiful Balinese countryside to the village of Gulingan, surrounded by terraced rice paddies and tropical vegetation. Here you can learn more about traditional Balinese agriculture and rural life and take a short walk through the rice fields, coconut palms and plantations full of  coffee, vanilla and cloves. Following your stroll, relax in a traditional Balinese pavilion and sample Indonesian fried tapioca and sweet potato. From here, the tour heads to the spectacular Royal Temple of Mengwi, Dating from 1634, the temple is a truly stunning piece of historic architecture, surrounded by a moat with multi–roofted meru shrines and intricately carved wooden gates. There is plenty of free time to explore this amazing building and afterwards you continue to the sacred Monkey Forest. The sanctuary of towering trees is home to three troupes of long-tailed Balinese Macaques, totalling about 200 monkeys and whether you are fanatic about animals or not these monkeys will make you smile. The tour concludes with a visit to Tanah Lot where you can see the famous sea temple. Famous in Bali as the Sunset Temple, this simple temple is set on a dramatic outcrop of lava rock 200 metres offshore. The beautiful sunset beyond the black lava towers of the sacred 16th century temple is a fitting end to the day.

 

Day 8 – 11 Kuta, Bali

 

Your remaining days at leisure in Bali can be spent by simply relaxing on the beach or sunbathing at the hotel’s pool or exploring the many sights of the area. Why not take a trip to the Elephant Safari Park or the Kintamani Volcano. If you are looking for something more relaxing then an Island Hopping tour might suit or a Reef Cruise to Lembongan Island.

Day 12 Bali – London

This morning you will be collected from your hotel and taken to Denpasar airport for your flight home to London via Singapore.

Day 13 London

Arrive back in the UK after enjoying what was hopefully a fantastic holiday!

Singapore

Half Day Singapore City Tour, £25 per person - Explore the city by driving round the Civic District, passing by the Padang, Cricket Club, historic Parliament House, Supreme Court and City Hall. Next, stop at the Merlion Park and enjoy the impressive views of Marina Bay. Do not miss out this picture-taking opportunity with The Merlion, a mythological creature that is part lion and part fish. Visit the Thian Hock Keng Temple in Chinatown, one of Singapore's oldest Buddhist-Taoist temples. Then visit a local handicraft centre and observe craftsmen at work up-close. Proceed to the National Orchid Garden, located with Singapore Botanic Gardens, which boasts a sprawling display of 60,000 orchid plants. The final stop is Little India where you will be entranced with the scent of joss sticks, jasmine and spices.

Sightseeing Singapore, 24-hour £20 per person OR 48-hour £29 per person - Observe the rich cultural and historical heritage through the sights and sounds of the bustling ethnic enclaves. Along the streets of China Town, Kampong Glam and Little India, religious monuments nestle amidst quaint shop houses. Contrasting with the modern shopping malls, such as the Suntec City, there are serene gardens and sleek skyscrapers. The statue of Singapore's founder, Sir Stamford Raffles proudly stands in front of the Victoria Theatre. Its replica stands at North Boat Quay - colloquially known as Raffles Landing Site, as this is the spot where Raffles is believed to have stepped ashore.

Night Safari, £35 per person - The drama and mystery of the tropical jungle unfolds after dusk, at the world's first Night Safari - a journey through 8 geographic regions where some 1,000 nocturnal creatures live in naturalistic enclosures that replicate the landscapes of their homeland. The easiest way to enjoy the sights is a tram ride. Guests can alight the tram at midway stop, walk and explore the Leopard Trail, come face to face with free flying bats and the mysterious giant flying squirrels. If time permits guests can explore the enthralling Fishing Cat Trail or the romantic Forest Giants Trail. They can also watch the Creatures of the Night show which demonstrates the incredible predatory and survival skills of nocturnal animals.

Footsteps of Raffles with Afternoon Tea, £69 per person - After being collected from your hotel by an English-speaking guide, your first stop on this tour is where Sir Stamford Raffles, who played a huge part in the British colonisation of Singapore, first stepped ashore in 1819 to see an exhibition celebrating the Singapore River. Your next will be at the famous Raffles Hotel, where activities were held for the high-society in 1800s. Here you can enjoy a delightful afternoon tea (included) with English local delicacies. After tea you’ll board a ‘bumboat’ for a cruise along the historic Singapore River. Disembark at Clarke Quay, a riverside festival village where you’ll visit a Pewter Gallery to discover the history of pewter and role of tin in the development of Singapore as a trading port.

Singapore by night tour with Dinner, £40 per person - Enjoy dining by the River - Singaporean's latest sunset haunt. En-route to the world's largest fountain, take in the beautiful sight of the central business district via Benjamin Sheares Bridge. Next, advance to Bugis Street or other night bazaars during festive period, where our guide will take you for a stroll at the night market or 'pasar malam' where you may chance upon bargains you never imagine. Our last stop for the evening will be at Raffles Hotel for a taste of Singapore's very own concoction 'the Singapore Sling' (included for those who have booked the tour with this option). As the saying goes, "If you have not been to Raffles, you have not been to Singapore". Please Note: Drinks during dinner are not included. Child below 12 years will be served child menu.

Morning at Sentosa with Underwater World Half Day Tour, £49 per person - The beautiful island of Sentosa is your destination on this unmissable half-day tour which includes a cable-car ride, the multi-sensory ‘Images of Singapore’ experience, a visit to the Butterfly Park and Insect Kingdom and time at incredible Underwater World, home to a dolphin lagoon and amazing walk-through aquarium!

Bali

Denpasar City Tour, £30 per person (transfers available from Kuta Beach) - A fascinating introduction to the main attractions and lively markets of Denpasar, Bali’s colourful capital city. This leisurely tour introduces you to all the main attractions of this bustling capital city. At its heart you will find attractive Puputan Square. ‘Puputan’ literally means ‘ending’ as the square lies near where one of Bali’s great palaces once stood. When the Dutch arrived here in 1906, the Balinese people led by the King of Denpasar chose to commit suicide rather than surrender and here nearly 4000 people including the royal family died. The tour then continues to the Bali Museum packed with exhibits from the prehistoric to the 20th Century. Here you can learn about Bali and its fascinating culture and among the many artefacts on display are scale models depicting the ritualistic Balinese tooth filling, marriage and cremation ceremonies. Afterwards, head to Gajah Mada Road where you will encounter the great landmark of the city, the Catur Muka Statue. A depiction of God Brahma, the Catur Muka Statue is a manifestation of God as the Almighty Creator.

Reef Cruise to Lembongan Island, £68 per person - Cruise by luxury catamaran to a paradise tropical island surrounded by vibrant reefs and colourful marine life for a day of swimming, snorkelling and sun worship. A relaxing hour long cruise aboard the splendid Bali Hai II brings you to the pristine tropical Island of Lembongan. Here, your catamaran will moor alongside a purpose-built reef pontoon in peaceful Lembongan Bay for a full day's activities, both above and below the water. Snorkelling is the best way to see the magical kaleidoscope of life and colour below the water’s surface, although for those that prefer to stay dry you can still view the corals and exotic marine life from the comfort of a semi-submersible coral viewer. Other activities include unlimited banana boat rides, a cultural tour of the island and the exciting 35 meter waterslide. And when you've worked up an appetite, feast on a delicious buffet served in air-conditioned comfort.

Kintamani Lake and Volcano Tour, £42 per person - A fascinating introduction to the wonderful scenery and diverse culture of Bali - see local villages, experience traditional dances and enjoy stunning views of lush tropical vegetation, picturesque terraced rice boxes and the spectacular lake and volcano of Kintamani. Your day starts with a visit to Batubulan village to see the famous Barong Dance of Bali, a story telling dance, narrating the fight between good and evil. From here, the tour continues to the village of Mas, famous for its intricate woodcarving. Visit the village workshops and marvel as the immensely talented woodcarvers fashion items from a variety of ebony and other hardwoods. The tour then visits the fantastic Elephant Cave. Dating from around 700 ago, the cave temple is caved into rock on a steep hillside and was rediscovered in the 1920s and further excavation discovered fountains and bathing pools in the 1950s.

Jatiluwih Batukaru Mountain Nature’s Best, £39 per person - Head off the beaten track and discover the serene beauty of Bali’s stunning hinterland. This tour will take you on a scenic drive 'off-the-beaten-track' with time to stop and appreciate the tranquil beauty of Bali, enjoying a personalized service for a maximum of 6 people. Your guide will enlighten you on the Balinese farming traditions, and you can get back to nature with short walks into forest, village and farmland. Once past busy Denpasar, you start to explore the unspoiled countryside and villages along the backroads.

Elephant Safari Park, £65 per person – Get up close and personal with these incredible animals at the inspiring Elephant Safari Park. Watch them take their daily bath, enjoy a hand feeding session and experience an elephant trek through the beautiful tropical park. Acclaimed as the world’s best elephant park, the Elephant Safari park is located near the historic village of Taro in central Bali and is home to Bali’s largest herd of 27 rescued Sumatran Elephants. The Park meets international standards for animal care and is set in more than 2 hectares of exotic eco-tourism landscaped botanical gardens, surrounded by dense forest. Here you can watch these amazing creatures taking their daily bath in and demonstrating remarkable feats of strength and skill. Enjoy a memorable ride through the tranquil forested areas and you will also have the chance to feed the elephants and learn more about their plight.

Bedugul & Singaraja North Coast Mountain Tour, £45 per person - Explore the tranquil rural countryside of Bali as you travel the whole length of the island, journeying through the central mountains to Singaraja and Lovina Beach on the North Coast. Traverse the width of Bali in a day.Leaving the relatively flat rice fields behind, driveinto the steep mountains of Pacung. In themountains, vegetation changes and you’ll seecabbages, maize and potatoes. Higher still, thecountryside is alpine with mosses, creepers andferns. Here you can visit Candi Kuning Fruit andFlower Market with its exotic wild orchids, rosesand even strawberries. Eventually you will reachthe attractive mountain resort of Bedugul located 850 meters above sea leveland surrounded by tranquil Lake Beratan which fills a crater within Mount Batukaru. On the shores of the lake is delightful Temple of Ulun Danu, built in honour of the Goddess of Water. Continue north to visit one of the greatest golf courses in the world, the stunning Bali Handara Kosaido Country Club before reaching the fantastic jungle waterfall of Gitgit. On the north coast you travel through the old town of Singaraja, Bali’s former capital as you head for the fabulous black sand beach of Livina. Here there is free time to explore and get a bit to eat.
