After your city adventures, you will then go onto Kerala for a 5 nights, for a bit of relaxation!
Day 1: Depart from the UK
Depart London Heathrow for your overnight flight to Delhi
Day 2: Delhi
Welcome to the historic city of Delhi! Following your arrival into Delhi International Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day/evening is at leisure.
Day 3: Delhi
This morning, capture the essence of Old Delhi and New Delhi.
MORNING: Enjoy a guided tour of Old Delhi and New Delhi which includes a visit Lakshmi Narayan Temple drive past the Red Fort, ending the tour with a visit to the Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in Asia, to Raj Ghat, the simple but moving memorial to Mahatma Gandhi.
AFTERNOON: Drive past the imposing India Gate (War Memorial Arch), the Parliament buildings and the Rashtrapati Bhawan (the President's residence) and end with a visit to Qutub Minar, a masterpiece of perfect proportions.
PLEASE NOTE: Visitors are required to take their shoes off before entering the Jama Masjid. Shorts, sleeveless tops, revealing clothes are not allowed inside Jama Masjid.
Day 4: Delhi to Agra
Today you will be driven to the Erstwhile Mughal Capita of Agra. On arrival in Agra, you will check into your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 5: Agra
MORNING: A visit to the Enchanting Taj Mahal (Closed on Friday). This morning you taken to visit Taj Mahal (closed Friday), where bicycle rickshaws will transfer you to the gates of this mesmerising monument. Emperor Shah Jahan build in the 17th century as a mausoleum for his wife Mumtaz Mahal, Taj Mahal is a masterpiece in marble and one of the world's most famous landmarks.
AFTERNOON: A tour of Agra Fort. Enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of the massive red sandstone Agra Fort. This citadel has fabulous courtyards, fountains and gates and Sikandra the Tomb of Akbar. Evening is free for independent activities.
Day 6: Agra to Jaipur (stop en-route at Fatehpur Sikri)
Early this morning, with involve a drive to the abode of Rajahs - Jaipur! You will also get to visit Fatehpur Sikri en-route.
In the morning you will proceed on a drive to Jaipur, en route visiting Fatehpur Sikri - the beautiful deserted capital of Emperor Akbar. Explore the environs of this historic monument that was built by Akbar to commemorate the birth of his son only to be abandoned after 14 years due to lack of water. On arrival in Jaipur, you will check into your hotel. Evening is free for individual activities.
Day 7: Jaipur
MORNING: Morning tour of the Hilltop Citadel - Amber Fort. In the morning, proceed for a guided tour of the fabulous Amber Fort, en route taking a photo-stop at Hawa Mahal. Located at the top of a hill, Amber Fort offers spectacular view of the old town below, where Akbar stopped en route on his annual pilgrimage to Ajmer.
AFTERNOON: City tour of Pink City. Enjoy a tour of the Pink City, an abode of rajahs. The highlights of the tour include a visit to the City Palace Museum, which has a superb collection of Rajasthani costumes, and armoury of Mughals and Rajputs including swords of different shapes and sizes with chiselled handles. Proceed to the awe-inspiring Jantar Mantar Observatory, a stone astrological and astronomical Observatory built by Maharaja Jai Singh in the 18th-century. Also included is a photo visit at the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) - a five-storied wonder with a spectacular pyramidal facade and overhanging windows with latticed screens, domes and spires. Evening is free for independent activities.
Day 8: Jaipur to Kerala (fly from Delhi)
MORNING: This morning you will proceed on a drive to Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be transferred to Delhi International Airport to connect flight for your onward journey to Kerala.
Once you arrive into Kerala, you will have a transfer collect you from the airport and take you to your chosen hotel. The resort of the day is at leisure.
Day 9-13: Kerala
You will have these full days to explore Kerala or just relax on the beautiful beaches.
Kerala enjoys unique geographical features that have made it one of the most sought after tourist destinations in Asia, i.e. an equable climate, a long shoreline with serene beaches, a tranquil stretches of emerald backwaters, lush hill stations and exotic wildlife, waterfalls, sprawling plantations and paddy fields.
Day 14: Fly back to the UK from Kerala
You will be transferred back to the airport in time to catch your flight back to the UK.
