This morning visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, a tunnel network built by Vietnamese resistance fighters during the Vietnam War. Part of a larger network, the tunnels were used by Viet Cong guerrillas as hiding spots during combat. They also served as communication and supply routes, hospitals, weapon caches and living quarters for numerous guerrilla fighters. Then, return to Saigon where the rest of the day is at your leisure. Perhaps explore the city’s alleyways, crammed with small shops selling spices and silk. Discover colourful markets and ancient pagodas competing for space with the sleek skyscrapers. Or perhaps embark on one of the optional experiences, such as a ride on a motor bike or a shopping tour.

Today, a local boat takes you to the river-land town of Cai Be to explore its incredible floating markets. Then go ashore to see Cai Be’s French Gothic Cathedral and visit a local rice paper manufacturer to learn how rice paper is made. Later, enjoy lunch back on board as your ship cruises towards Vinh Long - the second biggest city by the Mekong River. Here, take a boat ride to see the colourful markets that sell an abundance of freshly caught fish.

Enjoy a tour of Sa Dec, the city where French writer Marguerite Duras met her lover, Huynh Thuy Le. See his former residence, as well as many beautiful temples. Then, drive into the forest to explore Xeo Quyt, the once-hidden headquarters of the Provincial Party Committee before cruising to the peaceful town of Tan Chau.

Board a small boat this morning to visit a floating fish farm. Then go ashore and tour the town of Tan Chau by rickshaw. The rest of today is spent on board as you cross into Cambodia. Tonight, perhaps watch an acclaimed documentary film on Pol Pot in the Saigon Lounge.

In Phnom Penh, tour the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda. After lunch, visit the infamous Killing Fields and the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, on the site of the Khmer Rouge’s notorious Security Prison 21 (S-21). This evening, enjoy an authentic Khmer performance on board.

Visit the silk-weaving village of Chong Koh, then travel by coach to Oudong for a Buddhist blessing. In Kampong Tralach, see Wat Kapong Tralach Pleu pagoda and ride by ox-cart back to your ship.

Enjoy a boat excursion into the wetlands near Kampong Chhnang this morning. Then return to your ship and cast off towards Tonle Sap. Tonight, enjoy a Farewell Dinner on board.

Disembark after breakfast onboard, then enjoy the rest of the morning at leisure. Perhaps explore Siem Reap’s animated streets, and delight in the fusion of Chinese-style and colonial architecture that surrounds you. After lunch, visit the most enduring capital of the Khmer empire, Angkor Thom, a walled city complex within the Angkor Archaeological Park. This World Heritage-listed park contains the remains of different Khmer empire capitals. Visit the 13th-century temple Bayon, the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King. Special Stay - enjoy an indulgent stay at the grand Sokha Angkor Resort.

Enjoy a spectacular start to your day as you watch the sunrise over Angkor Wat, also located in Angkor Archaeological Park. Angkor Wat is the best-preserved temple of Angkor and said to be the world’s largest single religious monument. Later, return to the hotel for breakfast before enjoying time to explore as you please. This afternoon takes you to nearby Ta Prohm, a temple famous for its intertwined trees. Like a Local - before returning to Siem Reap, visit a ‘grass roots’ orphanage. Then this evening, enjoy a Farewell Dinner at your hotel and a performance of traditional Apsara Dance.
