Day 1 London – Cape Town

Fly overnight from London to Cape Town.

Day 2 Cape Town

Once you arrive you will be transferred to your hotel where the rest of your day is for you to relax and unwind after your long flight.

Day 3 - 4 Cape Town

Your time in Cape Town is free for you to explore this magnificent city. Get to the top of Table Mountain, go whale watching or even Shark Cage diving for those of you who are brave enough, visit Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 27 years and take in all the amazing things to do around the Victoria & Albert Waterfront or Camps Bay. We have a range of excursions that can be pre-booked so look at the ‘Things to do’ section for suggestions and prices.

Day 5 Cape Town to Pretoria - Blue Train

Today you will embark on a journey into a timeless world of grace, elegance and romance.....on-board the most lavish train on the planet!

The Blue Train has been the ultimate in luxury rail travel since 1946. It offers a unique way of experiencing some of Southern Africa's magnificent landscapes and landmarks. On this train luxury assumes a new dimension. You'll feel it from the moment you step into your suite - the De Luxe suite which offers you a choice between twin beds (with shower) or double beds (with bath).Luxury suites are more spacious and offer twin or double beds (all with bath facilities). Each suite is a world on its own, with a private entertainment centre, with a choice of movie channels and radio stations, under-floor heating, a universal telephone system, an air-conditioning system, GPS and a driver's eye-view camera. Free WI-FI is also available for use by our guests in the comfort of their private suites. Guests indulge in fine cuisine with butlers at their beck-and-call.

You will stay on the train overnight.

Day 6 Pretoria to Madikwe Game Reserve

After a magical night onboard this luxury train you will arrive in Pretoria and pick up your car hire ready for your 3 hour drive to your game reserve. When you arrive you have the chance to go on your first evening game drive or you can simply relax under the stars with a well deserved beverage!

Day 7 -8 Tau Game Lodge

Tau Game Lodge is situated in the malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve. Accessible by scheduled flights from O.R.Tambo International, or a 4 hour drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria. The 'Big 5' and wild dog, cheetah and black & white rhino are among the 27 species which you can expect to see on game drives or at the waterhole in front of the lodge, along with various antelope and other animals. Tau's 5-star accommodation consists of 30 luxury thatched chalets, all with views of the game approaching the water hole. Each chalet ensures privacy with its own viewing deck, en-suite bathroom, open-air shower, air-conditioning and ceiling fans. The more spacious "Deluxe chalets", with comfortable seating areas, can accommodate parents and children wishing to share the same room. The sliding doors allow for spectacular views of the breathtaking and beautiful tranquillity of the rugged surroundings of the diverse bushveld.The main body of the lodge has an impressive reception hall, swimming pool, dining room and a comfortable upstairs lounge and bar (all partially outdoors). Day 9 Tau Game lodge to Johannesburg to London

After an amazing time on safari it’s time drive to Johannesburg airport to drop of your car hire and check in for your overnight flight home.

Day 10 London

Arrive back into the UK after an amazing holiday.
