Itinerary

Day 01: UK to Montreal

Fly direct from UK to Montreal. When you have arrived make your own way to the hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure.

Day 02: Montreal

Today is your full day in Montreal. Montreal is renowned for its food culture and if you haven’t experienced any of the local delicacies then today’s the day to do it. Why not treat yourself to some tir sur la neige, which is Maple Toffee on Snow to you and I. The Locals of Montreal also say that their Bagels are better than the ones in New York, or why not try the signature dish called Poutine, which is fries with cheese curds and gravy!

Day 03: Cruise

This morning make your own way to the cruise port ready to embark on the Holland America Maasdam for your Canada/ New England cruise.

Day 04: Quebec

Your first stop on this cruise is the city of Quebec. You will have plenty of time to explore Quebec before the cruise leaves for its next destination.

Day 05: Cruising Gulf of St Lawrence

The Gulf of St Lawrence is defined by stunning coast line and beautiful islands, including Prince Edward Island and the Magdalen Islands. Geographically, the Gulf is the largest estuary in the world meaning thousands of migratory birds make this area their home during the spring and fall migration period, as well as whales, seals and porpoises.

Day 06: Charlottetown, Prince Edward

Canada's smallest province is an island that seems to be tied to New Brunswick by the 8 mile-long Confederation Bridge. Why not leave the mainland for Charlottetown, cobbled streets and old architecture awaits you!

Day 07: Sydney, Canada

A hundred thousand Gaelic greetings await you in Nova Scotia, Latin for ‘New Scotland’. Enjoy this day as you please.

Day 08: Halifax, Nova Scotia

The city is located on one of the planet's great natural harbours and adorned with landmarks like the Citadel fortress, Pier 21 (Canada's answer to Ellis Island), and the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic.

Day 09: Bar Harbor, Maine

Bar Harbor in Main is stunning stretch of scenic coastline. From the natural beauty of this destination to the man-made luxury that it has been adorned with, in the form of grand architecture and landscaped gardens, this is a beautiful area.

Day 10: Boston

The ship will arrive about 7am this morning as here you will disembark and make your own way to your Boston hotel. Settle in to your hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure.

Day 11: Boston

Spend your day exploring the many different sights of Boston. You must take the Freedom Trail which takes you round the city’s many iconic sights and gives you an insight in to Boston’s fascinating history. Don’t forget to use your FREE Boston duck tour!

Day 12: Boston to UK

Enjoy some time this morning enjoying some more sights and some shopping before making your own way to the airport ready to catch your flight home.

Laurentian Mountains Tour, £75pp - Enjoy a memorable day exploring the idyllic Laurentian Mountains that border Montreal. A thousand freshwater lakes and picturesque villages dot the landscape. A short hour-long drive brings you to the stunning Laurentian Mountains; the vast mountain range forms part of the Canadian Shield and its presence can be felt like a guardian over Montreal’s skyline.

Olympic Park, £19 per person - The Montréal Tower Observatory is located in the highest inclined tower in the world, with its 175 m elevation and 45-degree angle. The Tower of Pisa, by comparison, has a 5-degree angle. The Observatory is at the top of a building that, in and of itself, totals 14,606 m2 and weighs 16,363 metric tons - comparable to 3 aircraft carriers. The view of Montréal is as unique as it is exceptional. On a clear day, visitors can see up to 80 km all around, including the Laurentian Mountains. The guided tours begin with a brief history of the 1976 Olympic Games. Afterwards, the experienced guides take you to the Sports Centre, where you can admire the impressive Olympic pools.
