Fuengirola Zoo is different from many zoos you might have visited before as this is a zoo without cages and it allows visitors to be in close contact with animals such as gorillas, tigers and hippos. Set in the midst of the tropical forests of Madagascar, Equatorial Africa and south-east Asia, Fuengirola Zoo is designed to replicate the natural habitat of each of the species that call the zoo home. It is a fairly small zoo with around 40 enclosures including a crocodile lake where visitors can observe through a large window. In the summer months visitors can enjoy a night-time experience as well as this is the only zoo in Europe that opens until midnight in July and August. Adult passes are available from £11.00 and Child passes from £8.00 (ages 3-9).
