Anne Frank House

This is the house in which the Frank family hid from the Nazis between 1942-1944, and is now visited b y over half a million people every year. The Frank family, who were wealthy merchants, decided to go into hiding in the rear section of their family business’s warehouse on the Prinsengracht. Together with the Van Daan family they secretly inhabited these basic quarters for two years, with the help of family friends.
