This national park is a large area of volcanos, known locally as "Montañas de Fuego" (Fire Mountains) where visitors can witness a variety of geological phenomena and experiments as well as tour the park by bus or even camels. At the "Visitors Center" you will understand the force of the volcanos through various experiments performed by the staff such as burning dried grass in a hole dug just a meter deep, or water exploding from the ground as it's poured into one of the few pipes sunk into the ground. The tour by bus ('Ruta de los Volcanes') is another main attraction here. During the journey, visitors can observe the numerous lines of volcanoes, the twisted shapes of lava, the 'hornitos' and the volcanic tubes.
