The ski area is particularly good for beginners, intermediates and families, who all love the ease you can get around this brilliant little resort. Along with the cheaper prices, Borovets is an excellent choice of resort for those trying out a ski holiday for the first time, with an excellent ski school that has introduced thousands of people to skiing over the years.
Wide choice of cafés, bars and shops. Borovets is well known for its bars, ranging from a traditional inn with a log fire to one of the numerous busy bars with loud music and dancing. Try Black Tiger, Buzz Bar, or either of the night clubs at Samokov and Rila hotels.
Beginners - The ski school in Borovets has a long tradition of welcoming British skiers, many of whom have returned year after year. Borovets has two main nursery areas, one just 20m from the Hotel Rila and the second at over 2000m, accessible by gondola, ideal if snow conditions at resort level aren’t perfect. Within a few days most beginners are ready to progress on to the more challenging slopes of the Sitnyakovska chairlift. A fantastic place to learn to ski.
Intermediates - Most runs here are ideally suited to the intermediate skier, with some enjoyable runs sweeping down through the trees in the Yastrebets area. From the top of the gondola in Borovets at 2363m, you will find numerous interesting descents including a new 12km run right to the base of the mountain.
Advanced - The World Cup area reached by the 6-seater gondola offers the most testing skiing in Borovets and there are two challenging runs on the Yastrebets area for the more advanced skier.
Snowboarding - The gentle slopes are ideal for mastering the basics, however first-timers may find the many drag lifts difficult to cope with. Call us now to book your holiday to Borovets in Bulgaria or
